After having what was a real honesttogod heart melting moment with a patient today (I’m saying this without guile, by the way, which has probably never happened before, and may never happen again), I was almost sad to have the afternoon off. Where else can I get cheap laughs for doing over-rehearsed impressions of perfectly lovely people who I (sort of) work for? At my home there is nobody...

Brittany and I went to lunch today-we chose the restaurant based on availability of booze (her) and oreo milkshake (me).
the table behind us was having a conversation about the arts.
then this happened.

Guy 1: What do you all think makes a person like that, who is that kind of artist, GOOD at that kind of art?

Guy 2: that's a good question
Girl 1: well, I took an art class in high school, and once we were doing modern type art like that and my art teacher, this great artist, would come over and tell me to add a little more paint here, or to put one color next to another... maybe Jackson Pollock was a great artist because nobody had to tell him that stuff.
Girl 2: That is SO true...
