Being in Detroit* with family has left me with a wealth of blogging material (and I’ve only been here 15 hours), but I’m afraid that most of it is so complex that I won’t truly be able to understand it for weeks. Or years. Or never.

It’s time to make the pilgrimage to Detroit to see my family and Stephanie and her family. I’m never overwhelmingly pleased with the thought of doing the drive, but the Detroit Metro area is a place of Coney Islands and cannoli and wonderment, so I have more to look forward to than fear.
